The most common way people think to make money from podcasts is sponsorship… ?
It isn’t the only way, and it’s probably the hardest way… however it can definitely be done… and YOU DON’T NEED 10,000 LISTENERS PER EPISODE TO GET SPONSORS!!! ?
In this episode I give you the honest lowdown on sponsorship for podcasters, and some top tips on how to go about it.
Podcasting Tips Daily is now multi-format: Available as a Podcast, an Alexa Flash Briefing Skill and as a video on Facebook, Linkedin and InstagramTV…

Welcome to today’s podcasting tip. So the first way I have seen people making money from podcasts…. I mentioned it yesterday…. Sponsorship.
But Like I said you don’t need 10,000 listeners per episode. Value your brand, value your audience (however big they are) and put a price tag you would be willing to add sponsorship for.
My top recommendation for getting sponsors is to build an additional page on your website for potential sponsors. Have clips of your show, numbers, stats and testimonials that show why sponsoring your podcast is an awesome idea.
Then make a list of 10 businesses that would fit your show, that would see real value in reaching your audience. Contact them, going down the list, sending them to the site with all the stats once you have established a relationship.
A podcast I have previously worked with had a sponsor on a show that has only 200-300 listens per episode. The listeners are highly engaged and so the price reflects the brand association.
So that’s exactly what this should be for you… value what your audience is worth to you… And if that amount is worth it to you to add advertisements to your show. If so, take the advice, set up a site or a media pack and start getting in touch with potential and relevant sponsors!
That’s my first way to make money with your podcast. In honesty it can be one of the hardest ways to crack, so make sure to tune in to the next 5 episodes where we explore some other ways to make money!
